Privacy Policy

Effective October 30, 2026

FitFairy lets you see yourself wearing outfits from posts and screenshots you share with the app. To do that it has to handle a photo of you, which is about as personal as data gets. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how you delete it. When we say "we" or "FitFairy" we mean the operator of the FitFairy app, reachable at support@fitfairy.net.

The short version

1. What we collect and why

Your body photo

During setup you take or choose a full-body photo. It is the reference for every try-on: the AI uses it to render you in the outfit. The photo is stored on your device as the primary copy. We also keep exactly one private copy per account on our servers (see section 3), because the "share a post and it's ready when you open the app" feature has to run while the app is closed, and it cannot do that without access to your photo. That server copy also lets us restore your photo to a new device when you sign in with Apple, so you don't have to retake it. This means access to your photo is protected by the security of your Apple ID.

Outfit images you share or upload

When you share or paste a link (a post, a product page, any web page), the app opens that page on your device and picks out its main public image; our servers never visit the link. When you share or upload a screenshot or image, we use that image. Either way the outfit image is stored privately with the resulting fit so the app can show it on your card. A screenshot captures your whole screen, so it may incidentally include other content on your device; you choose what to share.

The link to the source post

We store the URL of the page you shared (with tracking tags removed) so you can tap back to it and so the original creator stays credited. We do not download, store, or process the video itself.

Generated try-ons and Fit Check videos

The images and short videos the AI produces are stored privately in your account and cached on your device. They are yours to save, share, or delete.

Account information

The app creates an anonymous account for you on first launch, identified by a random ID, no email required. If you choose Sign in with Apple (for example to start a free trial or to keep your fits across devices), Apple gives us a stable identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email or a private relay address. We also keep an Apple sign-in token for the lifetime of your account, used only to revoke our access to your Apple ID when you delete your account, as Apple requires.

Purchases

Subscriptions and add-on packs are bought through Apple. We do not see your card number. We receive purchase records (product, price, currency, country, and store transaction identifiers) via our subscription provider so we can unlock what you paid for and keep your balances correct.

Usage information

We record basic events about how the app is used (for example: app opened, setup completed, a fit was added and from which kind of source, a result was viewed or saved, a Fit Check was started, and for a link you share, the website's name (for example zara.com, never the full address), whether we found an outfit image on it, and how long that took), plus your answers to onboarding questions such as what styles you shop for and how you heard about FitFairy. These are stored in our own database under your account ID and are used to understand what's working and to fix problems. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. (We do use Sentry for crash and error reporting, described below.)

Device and diagnostic information

When the app crashes, hits an error, or runs slowly, it sends a diagnostic report to our crash-reporting provider, Sentry, so we can find and fix the problem. A report includes the technical error details, your device model and iOS version, the app version, how long screens took to load, the screens you visited just before the problem, and your random account ID so we can tell whether one person or many are affected. Sentry also records an approximate location (city and country) derived from your internet connection. Reports do not include your name, email, or IP address. For some sessions, including those where an error occurred, Sentry also records a low-detail replay of the app's screens so we can see what went wrong the way you saw it. Replays show the screen as it appeared, which can include your body photo, outfit images, try-ons, and Fit Check videos. Only the FitFairy team can view them, and they are deleted automatically within 90 days (see section 4).

If you tap Report a Problem, the app pre-fills an email with your app version and device model so support can help faster; you see and control everything before it is sent. If you enable notifications, we store a push token so we can tell you when a try-on is ready.

Clipboard

The app reads your clipboard only when you tap Paste from clipboard on the Add Fit screen, and only to find a link in it. Nothing else from your clipboard is used or stored.

2. How we use your information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your photos or results for advertising, for marketing to others, or to train AI models.

3. Where your data goes (service providers)

We use a small number of providers to run FitFairy. Each receives only what it needs for its job.

ProviderWhat it doesWhat it receives
SupabaseHosts our database, file storage, authentication, and server code Everything listed in section 1, stored with row-level access controls so only your account can read your rows and files
Google (Gemini API)Generates the try-on image Your body photo and the outfit image, per request. Not used to train Google's models under the paid API terms; retained briefly for abuse monitoring (see section 4)
fal.aiGenerates the Fit Check video from your try-on image The generated try-on image, per request. We instruct fal.ai not to retain inputs and outputs and to expire its temporary delivery copy within one hour
RevenueCatValidates App Store purchases and manages subscription state Your account ID and Apple purchase records. No card details
ApplePayments, Sign in with Apple, push notification delivery Governed by Apple's own privacy policy
ExpoRoutes push notifications to your device Your push token and the notification text ("Your fit is ready")
SentryCrash, error, and performance reporting The diagnostic reports described in section 1: error details, device model, iOS and app version, screen load times, recent screens, screen replays (which can show your photos, try-ons, and videos as they appeared on screen), approximate location (city and country), and your random account ID. Never your name, email, or IP address
DiscordDelivers operational alerts to the FitFairy team Automated messages about system problems (for example a failed deletion step). These can include your random account ID, never your photos, name, or email

Our servers are hosted in the United States. If you use FitFairy from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed there.

4. How long we keep things

DataKept until
Body photo (server copy)You replace it, delete it, or delete your account. Also deleted automatically after about 90 days with no generations. The copy on your device is under your control at all times
Outfit images, try-ons, Fit Check videosYou delete the fit. Deleted fits are fully purged from our servers within 30 days
Source post linksYou delete the fit
Account, balances, usage events, push tokenYou delete your account
Apple sign-in tokenYou delete your account (it is used to revoke Apple access during deletion, then removed)
Purchase recordsYour account's records are removed when you delete your account. Our provider's processing log is pruned after 90 days. Apple keeps its own transaction history under its policies
Data sent to AI providersGoogle retains prompts and responses briefly for abuse monitoring, for which we have selected the shortest window Google offers (currently 7 days). fal.ai is instructed not to retain inputs or outputs; its temporary delivery copy of a video expires within one hour
Crash reports and screen replays (Sentry)Deleted automatically within 90 days

5. Deleting your data

Delete a fit: removes its outfit image, try-on, and video from your device immediately and from our servers within 30 days.

Replace your body photo: Profile → Update your photo. The old copy is deleted from your device and our servers at the same time. To remove your photo entirely, delete your account.

Delete your account: Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, every fit, your body photo, your balances, and your usage data from our servers, revokes our Sign in with Apple access, and clears the app's data on your device. It cannot be undone. Crash reports and screen replays already sent to Sentry are not deleted immediately; they are deleted automatically within 90 days (see section 4). Email us if you want them removed sooner.

Important: deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple; cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or we will be unable to stop the renewal for you.

6. Security

All traffic uses TLS. Files are stored in private buckets, encrypted at rest, and served only through short-lived signed links scoped to your account. Database access is restricted by row-level security so one user can never read another's rows. AI provider keys live only on our servers, never in the app. Because the AI models need to see your photo to generate a result, we cannot offer end-to-end encryption; "encrypted at rest" here means platform-level encryption on our provider's storage.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Most of these you can exercise directly in the app (viewing your fits, deleting fits, deleting your account). For anything else, email support@fitfairy.net and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Children

FitFairy is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with a photo or other personal information, email us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and let you know in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated policy.
